The challenge

Biomassehof Ilg has set itself this task - with the aim of replacing fossil fuels, ensuring security of supply and at the same time making an active contribution to climate protection.

The decisive factor here is a flexible energy solution that can adapt dynamically to the actual heat demand and peak load times and can be combined with the existing boilers and heat storage units.

The solution

Together with SYNCRAFT, Energiewerk Ilg opted for a Reversepowerplant that converts regional biomass into renewable energy and clean heat - and generates green carbon that binds CO₂ in the long term. The success of this first plant spoke for itself: after just four years, Ilg decided to take the next step and built a second SYNCRAFT plant to meet the growing demand for climate-friendly heat supply in Dornbirn even more efficiently and sustainably.

The result

With two SYNCRAFT reverse power plants, Ilg now reliably supplies the region with renewable heat directly from the grid. The communities benefit from high supply security, stable energy costs and demonstrable climate protection. Ilg has already received several awards for this foresight and its pioneering spirit in the regional energy transition - a strong sign of the impact that is created when innovation, responsibility and regional value creation go hand in hand.
