New Reversepowerplant the green heart of Austria
At the joint kick-off event in Sinabelkirchen, we teamed up with our project partner, One Carbo GmbH, Reversepowerplant a new Reversepowerplant . In a warm and open atmosphere, we not only defined the scope of the project but also clearly established our shared goal: a cost-effective, future-proof, and climate-positive facility—to be built in the green heart of Austria, Styria.
Proven technology – further refined for specific purposes
The project in Sinabelkirchen builds on Syncraft’s many years of experience: Our standard portfolio is based on more than 50 successfully completed Reversepowerplant.
In addition to our existing systems with electrical outputs of 500 kW, 1,000 kW, and 4,000 kW, we are now expanding this portfolio to include a 2,000-kW standard configuration. The facility in Sinabelkirchen embodies precisely this industrial standard—well-established, proven, and scalable.
A Reversepowerplant: electricity, heat, and Green Carbon
Reversepowerplants electricity, usable heat, and green carbon simultaneously from regional wood chips and energy wood.
Instead of ash, they produce high-quality carbon that permanently sequesters CO₂ and can be used in a variety of ways—a significant contribution to climate protection and the circular economy
Key facts at a glance
- 2,000 kW of electrical power
- approximately 3,000 kW of usable heat
- approximately 2,000 tons of Green Carbon year
- Fuel: regional wood chips / energy wood
- Scheduled commissioning: Spring 2027
This will make Sinabelkirchen home to Austria's largest Reversepowerplant.
Automation & Implementation
The system features a compact design and is built for cost-effectiveness.
Fully automated feeding is handled by an intelligent crane system developed by Syncraft Automation based on a crane system from the Haslinger Group. This solution ensures efficient, reliable, and safe system operation.
Implemented in partnership
We would like to thank One Carbo GmbH for their trust and for launching this project in a spirit of partnership. Together, we are setting another example in Sinabelkirchen for climate-positive industrial projects—and for regional economic growth in the green heart of Austria.
