Reversepowerplant an der Trattnach

In Wallern an der Trattnach, a modern Reversepowerplant has been integrated Reversepowerplant the existing energy network. The plant generates electricity, heat, and green carbon (biochar) from regional wood chips, thereby contributing to a sustainable energy supply at the site. It supplies the wastewater treatment plant, the biogas plant, and the sewage sludge drying facility with sustainable heat year-round. The combined production of electricity, heat, and green carbon (biochar) achieves high fuel utilization.

“With Reversepowerplant , we were able to expand our energy system in a sustainable and forward-looking way. The professional implementation and optimal integration with our biogas plant enable an efficient circular economy right on-site.”

Challenge & Solution

With the transition from biogas-to-power generation to biomethane production, the site’s previous heat source was eliminated. The power plant now provides this heat again and has been seamlessly integrated into the existing plant network.

Innovative Approach & Added Value for the Customer

The combination of a wastewater treatment plant, a biogas plant, biomethane processing, and Reversepowerplant an integrated energy system. Regional raw materials are used efficiently, and the circular economy is implemented directly on-site. The heat generated on-site enables the sustainable and cost-effective operation of existing processes. At the same time, the project strengthens the site’s energy independence and increases planning reliability.
