Green (reverse) circular economy in Finnentrop
In Finnentrop, North Rhine-Westphalia, forestry entrepreneur Meinolf Schröder, together with his three sons and employees, is realizing a unique circular economy. The family business carries out logging work, landscape maintenance and vegetation pruning around roads and railroad tracks. The resulting forest residues are chopped and dried directly on the company's own farm before being converted into renewable energy and green carbon in the SYNCRAFT CW 1800-500 Reversepowerplant , which conserves resources. A special feature of this plant is its future-oriented design: Both the building and the plant technology have been designed in such a way that a second line, including a second gas engine, can be added if required. The CW 1800-500 could thus become a 2xCW 1800-500. This smart solution shows how sustainable forestry and climate-positive energy generation can go hand in hand.
