The world's largest Reversepowerplant is located in Switzerland
In Frauenfeld, Switzerland, we built one of the largest wood-fired power plants of its kind in 2021. The climate-positive 4xCW1800x2-1000 Reversepowerplant is one of the world's most innovative plants in the field of wood energy generation and carbon removal. Every year, we permanently remove 12,000 tons CO₂ from the atmosphere. In order to realize this mammoth project, the Zurich-based energy and mobility service provider "Energie 360° AG" and "Schweizer Zucker AG" jointly founded "Bioenergie Frauenfeld AG".

Our modern fixed-bed reactors, including the four gas engines, have been successfully installed. In addition to electricity and heat, the Reversepowerplant produces valuable green coal, which is then sold to farms or nurseries in the region via various distribution channels. Waste wood, such as sawn timber, storm-damaged wood or pest-infested wood, from the region is used. .
